Who we are
The Florida Climate Institute (FCI) is a multi-disciplinary network of national and international research and public organizations, scientists, and individuals concerned with achieving a better understanding of climate variability and change. NSU is one of the ten member universities, the youngest member in fact, having joined in 2017.
The NSU - Florida Climate Institute is truly inter-disciplinary and is led by faculty from the Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography and the Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship. This reflects the fact that climate issues concern all walks of life – citizen, academic and entrepreneur alike. The institute’s goal is to foster the educated dialogue about climate issues, viewed from several perspectives.
The NSU Florida Climate Institute wishes to be a platform for information and discussion whether you are actively working on climate issues, or are an interesting bystander.
