Areas of Research

  • Impacts of navigation in Whale Watching Activities (WWA) : Yves is working with the officers of the Marine Park of Saguenay-St. Lawrence in northern Quebec to evaluate impacts of different types of boats on marine mammals in- and outside the marine park. Also, he is developping the same type of project in the Caribbean breeding areas of the marine mammals’ sanctuary of AGOA.
  • Drone technology in monitoring marine mammals: a new project in development along the north shore of the St. Lawrence marine estuary and the marine mammals’ sanctuary of AGOA.
