Seagrass Lab

Major Professor

I work in the USGS Seagrass lab monitoring and assessing seagrass communities in South Florida. This project is part of the South Florida Fish and Invertebrates Assessment Network (FIAN) and the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Project (CERP). I assist with sampling seagrass communities with the use of a throw tap and hookah system. I also assist with sample sorting and identification of organisms and data entry.

Area(s) of research

I am interested in coral restoration and propagation with the use of coral nurseries. I would like to work with nurseries utilizing the line culture techniques. I am also interested in invertebrate zoology and taxonomy.
