The Marine Environmental Education Center (MEEC) offers daily public programming as well as general admission to the Interpretive Center, animal exhibits, and the historic Carpenter House. We offer the chance to observe a sea turtle feeding, featuring our resident green sea turtle, Captain. During the feeding, you will learn about Captain’s history and injuries as well as general sea turtle biology, ecology, and conservation. Feedings occur daily at 3:30 PM.

The Marine Environmental Education Center is currently closed to the public due to concerns related to Covid-19. We are offering online virtual lessons for the whole family! The MEEC has always striven to bring the ocean to the classroom! In this Zoom webinar series, we will be collaborating with different marine scientists to cover a variety of environmental topics every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00 pm. These webinars are appropriate for students ages 10 and up, but all are welcome! Check out THIS LINK for the full list of Zoom links and November topics. Email us at meec@nova.edu with any questions!
